The Lakewood Rangers Education Foundation (LREF) proudly endorses the Lakewood City School District’s 6.9-mill operating levy on the May 5 ballot.

The LREF Board of Trustees affirms that strong, consistent support for our public schools is essential to sustaining the excellence, equity, and opportunity that define the Lakewood educational experience.

The District continues to deliver exceptional results for students, earning four-star ratings on Ohio Report Cards in 2024 and 2025, and demonstrating a long record of fiscal responsibility and community accountability. Approval of this levy will ensure stable, reliable funding that supports the teachers, staff, and programs preparing Lakewood students to lead, serve, and succeed.

For more than three decades, LREF has partnered with the District to strengthen the academic, artistic, and extracurricular programs that enrich every Ranger’s education. From classroom grants and scholarships to innovative enrichment and community engagement initiatives, our mission depends on a well-resourced district committed to educational excellence at every level.

A successful levy will provide the foundation needed for continued innovation, creativity, and opportunity—and will help sustain the strong tradition of Lakewood pride that unites generations of students, families, and residents.
