In 1984 our Foundation was conceived by a forward-thinking group of alumni, administrators and community members who saw the need for an organization to raise and distribute funds that would bridge the gap between government funding and what is really needed to ensure a world class education for Lakewood students.
Your financial support of the Lakewood Rangers Education Foundation means that there are instruments and music lesson scholarships available so that students can participate in our renowned music program no matter what their family’s financial situation. It means that our scholars will have the opportunity to travel to Model United Nations and Academic Challenge competitions and that our athletes will have critical equipment and access to training to improve their skills. It means that our graduating seniors get a boost to start college or other post secondary education with scholarship money. It means that our superb faculty can implement innovative teaching ideas inside and outside of the classroom. It means all this and more.

Gifts to our Annual Fund help us to provide support to every one of the 5400+ students in our schools. The LREF Annual Fund is our yearly fundraising campaign that provides unrestricted funds to support student programs in the Lakewood City Schools. Your Gift to the LREF Annual Fund is 100% tax deductible and allows us to execute our mission to provide the opportunities and enrichment of a world class public education to Lakewood students above and beyond the classroom experience.

Recurring gifts are a great way to fit annual giving into your budget, and allow you to break a larger gift down into more manageable monthly amounts. CASH GIFTS
A gift of cash, most typically by personal check, is the simplest, most direct way to support the Lakewood Rangers Education Foundation. Gifts can be mailed to the address below. MATCHING GIFTS
Many corporations will match employee gifts to the charity of the employee’s choice. It's easy to do: check the Human Resources page on your company website - many have forms right there. Send your completed matching gift form along with your gift to the Lakewood Rangers Education Foundation. We’ll process the form and contact you when the gift from your employer is received.

MEMORIAL AND HONORARY GIFTS
Celebrate a significant occasion - a birthday, anniversary, wedding, graduation – or the life of a loved one with a contribution to the Lakewood Rangers Education Foundation. Memorial and Honorary Gifts can also be designated for the establishment of an Endowed Scholarship named for your loved one that will create an impact for future Lakewood students.
ENDOWED FUNDS
LREF provides three ways for donors to provide our deserving, graduating seniors with the gift of a scholarship to start them on their way to college or other post high school education. Every year, LREF awards between 25-30 scholarships worth a total of $30,000 - $40,000, as well as other support, but we’d like to do more for more of our students. You may make a gift to one of our established named endowed funds or establish your own named endowment fund. All gifts are invested in the Lakewood Rangers Education Endowment Fund. Donations may be added to the principal of the scholarship at any time thereby increasing the amount of the awards that can be provided. There are also opportunities for named endowed scholarship supporters to meet their scholars through annual events.
